I like using the press, which I call a crisper because I like to fry eggs in
the fat after the bacon has been cooked. It's easier to clean a frying pan
than a broiler.

I don't heat it up. I put the bacon in a cold pan and then I put the press
on top. The press is round and has several little holes and it has a knob
The press is also cold. Then I turn the heat on and time it for the amount
of minutes I want, usually seven to ten.on top of the press.

They have two kinds at Bed Bath and Beyond. They are both heavy, but one has a
wooden handle and the other has a metal handle. You just put the bacon press on
the meat you are cooking, and you don't have to turn it. You can even do steaks
the box says. I think I would turn the steaks though.
