I know this has already been mentioned, but I can't even say how much my liquid
level indicator has been for me. Especially for coffee which is what I use it
for most. I believe you can get these on line for pretty cheap. Couldn't go
without mine.

Sometimes, I can tell by the sound. If that doesn't work (as it doesn't when
our A.C. is running) I stop pouring and pick up the container when I think
it is getting full.

The problem I usually have is that not all containers make a loud enough
sound when you fill them. For example, when I'm pouring coffee from a
pot into a cup, it doesn't make a loud enough sound to be heard, maybe
because I'm not tilting the pot too much since I'm afraid of

For me I just place the tip of my finger towards the top if it was for myself.
if I was serving for other's I usually can tell by just feeling the outside of
the cup or mug and if nothing else I use my liquid identifier.
