PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

 

1 cup solid shortening                 1 cup white sugar

1 cup brown sugar                      1 cup smooth peanut butter

2 ½ cups plain flour                             2 large eggs

2 tsp. baking soda                      pinch of salt

 

Sift flour, soda and salt.  Cream shortening and sugars.  Add peanut butter and 
eggs.  Add flour mixture last.  Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.  
Make criss-cross marks with a fork on each.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 
minutes.  Yields 2 ½ to 3 dozen.
