*One of our Direct Client located in Shelton, CT is looking for a **Senior QA Engineer for a 6 Months Contract role.*
*Job Description:* The Software Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, building and testing sites. He/She will also manage an external QA resource. The QA Engineer will review functional requirements and user stories from business partners; design test plans, write test cases, oversee test strategies and perform testing for assigned applications. *Essential Functions* - Proven leader and ability to mentor teams - Participate in various design, backlog discussions - Participate in test planning and execution activities - Continuously improvising on tests, Identify test gaps and come-up with ways to bridge those gaps - Interact with various stake-holders to execute on product goals - Possess a strong desire for quality and 'test to break' attitude - Performance and scale testing *Job Qualifications* - Minimum 5+ years of enterprise software testing experience - Experience of working in an Agile Development environment - Familiarity with development practices like Unit Testing, Test-Driven Development - *Strong Ecommerce Background * - *Knowledge of Hybris, SAP a plus* - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Detect, report, and track software defects - Use methodical and repeatable processes to verify releases meet quality standards before launch - Apply Quality Engineering principles throughout the agile product life cycle to identify defect and design flaws - Collaborate with the development team to improve the quality of the deliverables and ensure the business needs are met - Profile manual acceptance criteria and test cases and evaluate automation opportunities - Create and maintain reusable components, functions and libraries to reduce maintenance costs, increase efficiency and scalability - Highly self-motivated, goal orientated, and self-directed *Competencies* - Collaboration. - Teamwork Orientation. - Project Management. - Time Management.
