We have opening for AIX Admin/VCS Admin *Job Title: AIX Admin/* *VCS Admin* *Location: Framingham, MA* *Duration: 6 months+* *Job Description: * *10 plus year experience in AIX Administrator/VCS Admin:* - Support production, test and development hardware platforms by monitoring for issues, troubleshooting issues, and fulfilling end user requests. - Perform patch management and system upgrades - Set up LPARs and WPARs based on client needs - Monitor and identify performance and security issues and escalate or resolve - Install and configure new equipment, break / fix maintenance on equipment, participate in data center moves of equipment, inventory, asset management and configuration management - Setup installation of monitoring and security products. *OS hardening* * Perform patch management and system upgrades * Monitor and identify performance and security issues and escalate or resolve * Install and configure new equipment, break / fix maintenance on equipment, participate in data center moves of equipment, inventory, asset management and configuration management * Support IBM SAN and related servers and appliances - Having Veritas Cluster System experience (install/configuration) - OS migration and Migration from P5 to P8 is required - LPM (Live Partition Mobility) experience is required - Individual candidate should have the capability to trouble shoot any P1 issue. - Good to have knowledge about scripting. e.g KSH, Perl - IBM/AIX or related certifications a plus. - previous systems administration experience on multiple hardware platforms and operating systems in a large environment (at least 200 servers).
