*Purpose and Need*
The Advanced Analytics Architect provides technical support for emerging
and big data technologies. This resource should have measurable experience
in Big Data hardware and software architecture and design. We also will
expect this resource to have some experience in working and supporting open
source technologies on-prem and in the cloud.
*Subject Matter Expertise:*
● Big Data Technologies including Hortonworks Hadoop Data Platform,
Greenplum, Cloudera, etc.
● PIG, SQL, JAVA, PYTHON, R, etc
● Azure or AWS cloud Big data solutions
● Big Data Infrastructure and familiar with enterprise architecture
best practices
● Architecting and integrating big data pipelines
● Solutions crafting and developing proposals to illustrate business
value provided by technical solutions.
*Anticipated Skill sets*
● Provide leadership for all projects related to Big Data
technologies
● Architect and build Big Data solutions that are performant,
scalable, and fault-tolerant
● Research on new and emerging methods/processes/tools, drive the
effort in setting the strategies and standards, and provide continuous
improvement for the solutions
● A strong understanding of Data Warehousing, data analytics and
visualization
● Automotive experience is preferred
● Excellent communication and presentation skills
● Enjoy being challenged and to have a desire to solve complex
problems on a daily basis
● Ability to multitask and manage several priorities at once
● Able to work in teams and collaborate with others to clarify
requirements
