*Location : * San Jose, CA
*Duration :* 6 months
*Experience: *8-10 Years

Supports multiple services and multiple databases of medium complexity with
multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility of
data/Experience with workload management/Expertise in Viewpoint monitoring
and diagnostics to identifies/resolves the performance issues/Troubleshoots
alerts (alert log, Jobs, Disk Group, Table space etc.) and performance
issues/Gathers business requirements and designs, implements multiple
projects along with the production support/Creates standard operational
procedures and templates/Performs research and provides plans to remediate
complex business problems/Assists the development teams to improve database
design, SQL code and best practices /Strong knowledge of Unix Scripting.
*Essential Skills *
Performance tuning in a data warehouse environment, using advanced SQL,
DBQL and Explain plans
Analyzing project requirements and developing detailed database
specifications
• Strong knowledge of database architecture and its implementation.
Identifying and initiating resolutions to customer problems and concerns
associated with a Data Warehouse or equivalent system.
*Desirable Skills*
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Strong knowledge of database architecture and its implementation.
Strong understanding of best practices in maintaining medium to large scale
data warehouses.
Strong understanding of Change Management procedures.
Strong knowledge of database and query tuning to improve the performance of
the database/application/Having Cisco experience is plus.
