American Lecture Tour, 06-22 March 2020

With only six weeks to go until we commence in Chicago, IL, preparations are
well underway for our forthcoming Irish and Scots-Irish family history lecture
tour in America, 06–22 March.

We look forward to meeting Guild members, old friends, supporters and new
acquaintances at one of the 14 stops on our itinerary across the USA.

The speakers, Fintan Mullan and Gillian Hunt, will offer advice on how to get
the most out of Irish resources and records, to help fill in gaps in your
research.

If you would like to register for one of the programmes simply click on the

Getting involved – we would like you to help us

We would like you to help us make this year's Lecture Tour as successful as it
can be. Guild members and supporters can get involved and become actively
engaged in the Foundation’s activities.

By supporting us in this way, you can help us sustain this important work -
uncovering and disseminating the texture of our forebears’ day-to-day lives
together with details of their achievements.

It is easy to get involved: by talking to friends and family, especially those
interested in family history; telling your local library, community learning
groups, fraternal organisations in your area; messaging genealogy and history
societies, museums, Irish, Scots-Irish and celtic cultural organisations,
sharing and commenting on social media, blogs and forums; or even mentioning
the Foundation to your local Irish pubs, clubs or local interest groups.

You don’t need to live in USA to assist. Supporters living in UK and Ireland,
Canada, Europe, Australasia and South Africa have friends, family and contacts
in USA. You too can share posts, tweets and details of the tour with
potentially interested parties.

We’d like you to help us to get the bush telegraph ‘zinging’ with chat about
the tour and thus spread the word about the Foundation’s work and our tour
programme to the widest possible audience.

We would like to thank you for your help and support.
