If you use a client as thunderbird, then you could ommit the 'SMTP'
configuration. This way the user won't be able to answer or reply to
mails, cause the client has no config to which SMTP to handover his mails.
If you need more info then just mail me.

Hi spambox,
why having 3 LDAP with different information ?
why not 1 with all info and a failover ?
your "very big storage" is a on a cluster file system (perhaps ocfs2)?
each node could then write and read.
each node has same information and could handle all stuff that is
derived by loadbalancer.
hi,
i have an imap account where I store all mails subcribed to different
mailing lists.
There are several folders, with several thousands of mails.
Now I decided to delete some which causes a lot of trouble.
I selected the mails (nearly 15000 from the xen users list) and tried to
move them to tra

I talked to the person that is maintaining the "PAM" stuff (Thorsten Kukuk).

Hi,
I need to update my SLE_10 "pam-modules" from version 10 to 11.2
Then it works.
This was a SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 "only" problem.

Hi Sam,
with 0.62.2 I had no problem with auth_pam.
So why do I have this problem with 0.62.4 ?
Id did not change anything on my pam config, why ,everything was working.
ad...@fw:/etc/pam.d> cat imap
#%PAM-1.0
auth includecommon-auth
account includecommon-account
password inc
I upgraded from 0.62.2 to 0.62.4
authpam does not work.
and in the LOGS I can see:

dlopen(/lib64/security/pam_unix2.so)
Sep 13 15:26:55 fw authdaemond: PAM [error:

any idea ?

Do you have an ACL where you can access [userspasswd] anonymously for auth?

Wrong, courier can be right for you imapd purposes. If you specifing into
database the folders that you need.
Example:
user=tony
pass=
folder=/DIR/t/o/tony
is very easy with any database do this.

I have a simpy idea. Why not split into 26 subfolders (where you will write
the maildirs), and the name of subfolder are the 1 letter of account?
For example:
user:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ---> /DIR/f/fred
This give to you the opportunity to split the more large fo

I know has no sense having 2 authentication daemons (authdaemon and
cyrusSASL). But postfix cant talk with autdaemon. And Courier cant talk with
cyrusSASL.
