Yes and no. The machine must be able to access the mailboxes, and must run
Courier; but not necessarily have to be the same machine that receives mail
and delivers it to those mailboxes.

Hi, after few permissions problems i managed to install 0.40.1
Everything works beside smtp daemon..
Can't send anything thru port 25 and get these log entries:
courieresmtpd: /usr/lib/courier/sbin/courieresmtpd: Permission denied
