What it boils down to is BL checks should not be performmed on
authenticated SMTP connections. I believe Courier does this by default.
So that, if I'm on a IP Address that is in the SBL/XBL list, a normal SMTP
delivery will be blocked, but by authenticating I bypass the blacklist
