Sam, you are right, this is some kind of bug in gcc (as gcc also reports
when the compile fails). But it would be nice to be able to work around this
bug (gcc changes are very slow, errors hard to trace ...).
I added an extra 512MB of SWAP and problem solved. SWAP usage arou
SWAP (and RAM if I can find some) and keep you informed.
