Hello, Can anyone help please. I am setting up a Linux system with courier, courier-pop3 and courier imap to act as a server to PC clients running Pegasus mail as a pop3 or imap client.
They are used to being able to sned mail to local users using just the username without specifying a domain. (this works with sendmail) however when using courier as the smtp/esmtp agent on the server and sending mail to tomp (a valid user on the linux server) as opposed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I get an error returned in the courier server log as follows: May 14 08:39:01 newmail courieresmtpd: error,relay=192.168.137.116,from=<tomp@ne wmail.howardkennedy.com>,to=<tomp>: 513 Syntax error. And a failure message from the MTA returned to me as well. I am sure that there must be a way of configuring courier to accept that mail addresses with no domain part are acceptable as local users but have yet to find it. Any help wold be much appreciated as this is driving me mad.
