Hello,

I have been using courier-mta for more than 2 years. Up to Red Hat 9.0 everything is OK. I am considering to switch Fedora 1.0. I am usgin LDAP authentication, it it does not work on Fedora. When I treuned on HAVE_DEBUG option to 1, the followings were reported:

authdaemond.ldap: Hostname: 127.0.0.1:389 authdaemond.ldap: UID: 0 authdaemond.ldap: GID: 0 authdaemond.ldap: ldapconnect end authdaemond.ldap: BindDn: cn=administrator,o=mydom BindPw: secret authdaemond.ldap: ldap_simple_bind_s failed: Protocol error

Fedore 1.0 uses openldap-2.1.22

How could I fix the problem? Note I downloded latest snapshot courier-0.44.0.20031101.

Either your admin dn/password is not correct, or the LDAP server does not accept LDAPv2 binds.
