OK.

So the other day I was futzing with some things, and I wanted courier
"off" for the moment, so I ran "courier stop".

I went about my business, and at some point realized I wasn't getting
any mail.

I ran mailq (as root), and it said there were no messages waiting.
But that wasn't true!  37 messages were waiting to be delivered!
I ran "courier start" and things proceeded as normal.

1. it certainly isn't intuitive that mailq showed 0 messages in the
queue.

2. as a side note, courier doesn't know -h, --help, etc... Which would
be very nice to have sometimes.
