hi, i've been using courier for 2 years and have been running virtual hosting of domains with no problems.
i have now set up a new server and set the server details to be the same as the original server. however, i am getting 550 user unknown in the log and the server refuses the emailfor an address in a hosted domain. user vmail set up, accept esmtp set up - make hosted domains set up - user added to userdb - but the email ain't being accepted. server is running debian stable and is a standard setup. now what steps could i check to resolve this issue? and how do i run authtest to check authentication? thanks hugely in advance - kev and now the answer - for the archives go to the file /etc/authdaemonrc and make sure this is set authmodulelist="authpam authuserdb" by default it only has authpam - i needed to add authuserdb HTH someone, kev ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by Oracle Space Sweepstakes Want to be the first software developer in space?
