Hi Jesse,

We are in the same situation. I work at Boulder Digital Arts as a Marketing and 
Customer Service Associate and we will be opening the doors to our new 
coworking space on February 3rd with an open house party. From what I've been 
reading about press releases, one thing that works is to tie what you are 
promoting into a larger trend. Coworking is a trend that is growing. We are 
working with Metzger to create a press release, and I was thinking of 
suggesting they use the recent global coworking survey findings to create a 
story worth reading. I worked at one of the top weekly papers in the nation, 
The Stranger, and they never used press releases. However, they did pick up on 
local buzz and trends and then create stories from that. My thinking has always 
been, why should a random person care about what you are promoting? Well, a lot 
of people don't even know what coworking is, if you could help people 
understand that and tie your coworking space into a larger trend, you'd have a 
jackpot of a press release.
