I totally agree with the white board idea. We've use chalkboard paint to 
paint some chalkboard squares around our space, including one over the mini 
fridge/kitchen area. We have a simple kitchen corner, but our members have 
been really great about pitching in, bringing in boxes of their favorite 
teas or coffee to share, or running to the convenience shop on the first 
floor of our building to pick up sugar, creamer, etc when it's 
out.  Otherwise, an Office staff will check up on supplies and pick up more 
when we're running low.  If you set an example by bringing in something to 
share (i brought in a large bag of my favorite loose tea, and occasionally 
bring in fresh baked cookies) then there's a good chance people will 
continue the favor.  We also have a jar of change in the kitchen corner to 
supplement snacks funds, and people usually pitch in about 25 cents per cup 
of coffee.  Our community is small, but so far this works well!
