Hello,

I've chimed in on a few threads hear and there about the
CoworkingDB<http://wiki.coworking.com/CoworkingDB>project I'm
championing and I'd like to explain what it is I'm talking
about. The vision is to move beyond the simplistic list of spaces we have
on the coworking wiki. I see a lot of proposals for "better" ways of
handling this but I've never seen a solution that really fits the bill and
embraces the widely distributed and somewhat disjointed nature of this
community. The coworking wiki isn't perfect by far but it's central, open,
and neutral and any solution put forward to replace it must remain so. Also
it needs to be simple. Software projects often get lost in all the things
that COULD be done and get bogged down by being too complex or too
specialized for only a portion of the community served. I've spent a lot of
time taking all of these points into careful consideration and I believe
I've come up with a solid middle ground. This is what I'm calling the
CoworkingDB <http://wiki.coworking.com/CoworkingDB>.

I need help making it happen. I've started the process of getting the idea
out there and connecting with various groups who are working on solutions in
this space. I'm looking for development help as well as help maturing and
circulating the idea. If you are interested in helping out, please let me
know.

Jacob
