Thanks for the feedback. There is a known problem with how Compress::Zlib
interacts with Darwin. It will be addressed in the next version of
Compress::Zlib.

Can you try running the test harness again please? This time edit the file
t/env.t and uncomment the line noted below. Then run
Make test TEST_FILES=t/env.t TEST_VERBOSE=1
And send the output to me please.

Looks like you either don't have Berkeley DB installed on your system at all
(available from http://www.sleepycat.com) or it is installed in a
non-standard location. Have a look at the README from my module if you do
have Berkeley DB installed.

Not sure what the problem is here. This module builds fine on windows. In
fact, I just tried and it worked fine.
Is there anything non-standard about your installation that could be causing
the failure you are getting?

Thanks for the bug report.
The problem is caused by the version of MakeMaker you are running. I'm
working on a patch to fix this issue. It sould be available in the next few
days.

Hi Scott,
This is from the README file that comes with my module
Network Drive
-
BerkeleyDB seems to have built correctly, but you get a series of errors
like this when you run the test harness:
t/btreeNOK 178Can't call method "txn_begin" on an undefined value at
t/btree.t
Thanks for the feedback Richard. The failing tests are known issue on OSX.
cheers

Does the file /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/ExtUtils/xsubpp exist? If not, it looks
like you don't have a full Perl install.

Thanks for the feedback. I've enclosed a replacment for the t/02zlib.t file
that should hopefully fix the problem. Can you give it a go & report back
please?

Jeroen,
thanks for taking the time to test the XSUB module. Unfortunately, this
module was only ever experimental and it isn't maintained anymore.

Hi Jeroen,
the module you have built is very out of date (last changes about 1997). It
has been superceeded by the BerkeleyDB module.

Hi,
sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
If you have the time, could you try something for me please?
Edit Filter-1.26/t/cpp.t and change these lines
print "1..2\n" ;
ok(1, ($? >>8) == 0) ;
#print "|$a| vs |$expected_output|\n";
ok(2, $a eq $expected_output) ;
to this
print "1..2\n"
Hi,
thanks for the feedback.
As it happens I have changed the test harness that is failing for you, so it
may have fixed the problem.
I'll be uploading a new version of BerkeleyDB to CPAN in a few days. If you
get a chance, please give it a go. If it still fails please get back to me.
cheers

I don't have the original 3.1.17 source to hand, but I'm not aware of a
3.1.17-2 release. Is this a cygwin special patched version?

Thanks for the feedback. Could you try running the test suite again with the

The test are probably failing because thy assume the existence of the "tr"
command.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm aware of the issue with the queue test using
3.2.3h. On my Linux box it does eventually pass the test, but it takes an
age.
The problem isn't there at all with more recent versions of 3.2
