Maybe. This is a wide question, but you can apply various CSS properties
to such an element and see what happens in different browsers. The
specifications don't really tell much about what _should_
One word Renee... hasLayout [1]. Your page look fine in IE8 since this
browser doesn't use hasLayout for layout. For IE7 or IE6 the problem is
this.
I had heard about hasLayout before looking at the resources I've been
using to learn CSS, but I wasn't really sure how to actually
prevent links from _looking_ like links, thereby making it less probable
that users click on them,

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with an ordered list in IE that appears as (1. 1. 1. 1.)
instead of a continuing list of numbers.

I read some posts on the list from 2005 about the same problem. I tried already

I have been trying to place an image map that was given to me to use on
a page that has a border on the left and bottom. This means I need it
to go to the bottom of a column. Also, I converted this from an obscure
table schema so I had to work with the images I was given.

Dear list,
I am designing a new content-heavy page and I would very much like
for the content to start right away in the source code, while stuff

I can easily achieve what I want with the sidebar, but in order to
place the header after

I'm trying to make a comic-like dialog box that has to be styled

When you say 'styled completely with CSS,' I am going to assume that you can
alter or add to the HTML output. If you can't, it could be somewhat tricky,
but either way, you have to start with a graphic that looks like the speech

I guess that has nothing to do, then. Still, it would be good to
correct that issue (an HTML file served as JS).
