Short of the following options: (a) buying a windows machine, (b)
running virtual PC on my mac, or (c) spending money on a service such
as Browsercam, or (d) pinging Win users to check on how the site
looks, has anyone ever developed a browser (or mode for a browser)
for the Mac that replicates the well-known bugs of IE/Win? This would
clearly be something that only a web developer would care about. I'd
expect that perhaps a Firefox extension, mode or alternative behavior
of some sort would be very useful to the Mac web design community.

While it's nice developing on a Mac, in an environment where you get
what you expect (usually), in my very limited development experience,
I have found it a royal pain to then have to dig out the IE/Win
issues and resolve them without breaking something else.

Please note that I am a (very) part-time web developer. This idea
occurred to me as a result of struggling to figure out a particular
problem that was IE/Win specific and I do not have a windows machine.

Thanks for listening.
