I have a horizontal css-based dropdown menu and the dropdowns are
obscured by form input type=text fields in Win / IE6. So, when I
hover over the first-level menu item, the dropdown menu slides behind
the input fields, but only in IE6. (I didn't test IE7 yet). It
works fine in Firefox

The menu bar looks ok in all browsers
about
10px.
Is there a known problem with IE6 form elements that cause a DIV's
vertical size to expand beyond what is expected? Is the form element
inheriting a margin property from an ancestor ?

anyone come up with a way to do this using
css, hidden divs, layers, or something else that I'm not thinking of?

I have a simple 2 column layout with header and footer (http://
centrevilledesign.com/styles/2col.css).
One column is the main column and the column on the right is a
sidebar area, with a width of 22%.
Here's the problem:
If I give the main column width:auto the layout breaks on Macintosh
field background colors?
Thanks,
