I have a floated column that should appear on the left. It's less
important info, so in order that the content appear as high in source
as possible, this left-col uses negative margins.
It works just fine in FireFox (haven't tested Opera yet, and have
trouble getting to Safari-running
I'm using a custom bullet using one of those background image
techniques. This right-pointing triangle appears properly on all list
items (both li and dt) in Firefox. It does not appear on the first dt
in IE (IE 6.0.2900etc/WinXPpro), although it does in others.

In Firefox/Win (several versions), I'm finding that although these two pages
differ only in amount of text (and not at all in style or php), when I
switch from one to another, the page jumps (to the left going from the first

I found the problem! I had copied the rollover code from button to button.
This meant the submenu images had the same name; they need to have unique
names. (I suppose I need to make those IDs, anyway.)

This site displays as I want it in Firefox 1.0.4/Win: header text is
the right size, the menu displays compactly on the left. I'm using
suckerfish dropdowns, basically.
