The chemo treatments for her condition have ended, but have almost left her in a worse state -- she now has pancytopenia, which means that her body can't produce enough blood cells or platelets. Doctors don't know if this is temporary or permanent yet. She also has liver damage, although how much has not been quantified. Most of you are also likely aware of how broken the US healthcare system is... and what it costs to get specialized care. Molly's insurance is *expensive* and even that doesn't cover many of her specialized medications. Molly can't work yet, even part time, so her financial situation is precarious. That's why I writing. #TeamMolly has started a new fundraiser to support Molly through this new challenge and the coming year of treatment. The goal is bigger, as greater costs are expected.
