Hello, all. I'm coding a site for a webcomic my brother's starting--he already gave me the design, and he just wants me to code it since he doesn't know HTML. I've been using table-based layouts in HTML for a few years now, but this is my first time using CSS for layout instead.
My main problem right now is the sidebar: I've got three sections to it (per his design), and the second is a navigation menu marked up as an unordered list. This renders correctly in all of my test browsers except IE: IE 5 on Mac nudges all of the list items 33 pixels to the right, and IE 5-7 on XP nudges them 40 pixels to the right. I've posted the HTML and CSS for the sidebar at <http://silenceisdefeat.org/~etg/sidebar>, as well as screenshots from all of the browsers I have lying around. A less obnoxious though still puzzling problem is that in Mozilla 1.7 on XP, the bottom (Announcements) section's content and header have a line of space between them. I've got a few other layout-related problems with the rest of the page, but I think I can figure those out sooner or later (famous last words--I'll probably be back). Any ideas?
