This does, in fact, appear to be a Mac OS X-only bug in Firefox. I've
posted a test case at

Firefox on Suse and Windows as well as Safari 2.0 seem to render
fine. It doesn't look to be fixed in the nightly build of DeerPark
that I downloaded yesterday.
