Subject: [LIFE-GAZETTE] Re: Sharon Destroying Christians' Homes, Seizing Land

I have dealt with the astonishing "Israel-first" position of Falwell,
Robertson et al for a long time. I may not agree with the position of the
Jewish Nation but it is at least rational from the perspective of their
belief system. The position of Falwell, Robertson et al is not, given the
authoritative position of the the Gospels to such people. Jesus Christ was
very clear that He came only to find the lost sheep of Israel. "I am not
sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel" (Mt. 15:24). Because
of the Great Commission to take the Gospel message throughout the world,
this must have meant spiritual Israel. Thus the early Christian converts
regarded themselves as Israelites. If people like Paul were Israelites,
weren't their children and grandchildren and so on who kept the faith
still Israelites? The Christian Palestinian lineage goes back 2,000 years.
>From a Gospel perspective the modern Palestinians must be "lost Israel,
found". Why then do Falwell, Robertson et al rejoice when the
Israelite-Christians of Palestine have their lands stolen from them by
invaders; when they are killed and displaced into refugee camps and
poverty and misery by the thousands? It is the most astonishing, shocking
affront to the teachings of Jesus Christ that I can imagine, to fund and
encourage the genocide of the flocks of Jesus Christ in the name of Jesus
Christ. But that is exactly what Falwell, Robertson et al are doing.
