9/11: The Case Of The Dancing Israelis
Posted by: Anonymous on Dec 17, 2002 - 03:34 PM
Those who resist the intense pressure to conform to the offical 9/11 theory the mainstream media is ordering the public to digest were and are considered unpatriotic, evil, a traitor, anti-Semitic, a terrorist, a Bin Laden sympathizer and should be crucified.
Nevertheless, after nearly 9 months of stonewalling and constant avoidance by the American media and by Israeli apologists(this excludes the many courageous Jews/Israelis who oppose the crimes its government commits against the Palestinians) ABC in June of this year finally decided to acknowledge and admit what alternative news sources such as www.Antiwar.com, www.WhatReallyHappened.net along with www.AmericanFreePress.net have been reporting from the beginning: On Tuesday September the 11th 2001, five men working for the Mossad (Israel’s notorious Intelligence agency) were observed and subsequently arrested for celebrating the attacks against America by taking video/photos of themselves with the two World Trade Centers exploding in the background. These men were unable to restrain their joy upon witnessing the murder of thousands of innocent people.
ABC:The White Van-Were Israelis Detained on Sept. 11 Spies?
This ABC 20/20 report is highly sugar-coated and is meant to deflect any justifiable suspicion of possible Israeli (gov) complicity in the attacks against America. Despite the deliberate downplaying of the acts, the report does shed some light on this explosive incident.
On Tuesday September the 11th 2001, a homemaker who was observing the destruction of the WTCs through her binoculars from her New Jersey apartment building accidentally ended up witnessing something as sinister as the attacks themselves. Through the lens of her binoculars and much to her surprise, she witnessed three men on top of a white van actually taking video/photos of themselves with the Towers at the back drop. “They seem to be taking a movie” the witness noted. You may be asking ‘Fine, what’s wrong with that?’ Making footage of the World Trade Centers’ demise was one thing but to express joy at the attacks and at the deaths of over 2000 people is…something else. The witness further explained, “They were like happy you know…They didn’t look shocked to me. I thought it was very strange.”
That resulted in the witness jotting down the license plate number of the van and contacting the police. What has to be commended here is the extreme good judgment this witness used, for who would have been exercising their normal judgment and alertness under those circumstances? Soon the FBI got involved and a statewide search was declared on the van which was now identified as the property of a moving company going by the name of “Urban Moving Systems’. The van was located at approximately 4 pm and pulled over by the police. The five young men inside were handcuffed at gunpoint. From the start the police knew something wasn’t right since it was found that one of the men had approximately 4 grand hidden in one of his socks. Another man was found carrying two foreign passports and box cutters were also discovered inside the van as well.
The five handcuffed men revealed that they were Israelis-much to the astonishment of the officers who were present. Perhaps what’s more astonishing is how one of the men, the driver, in a rather desperate attempt to spin the story and change the subject, declared “We are Israeli. We are not your problem. Your problems are our problems. The Palestinians are the problem”. I suppose the 'commit the crime, blame the Muslim' game would come rather naturally to them. The police weren’t buying it however. The five Israelis were taken to jail and the case was now being investigated by the FBI’s Foreign Counter Intelligence section since many agents believed the men were working for the Mossad and were on a spying mission directed at America. Subsequently the FBI searched the offices of ‘Urban Moving Systems’, and seized many paper and electronic documents. The Bureau also questioned the owner of the company. When they attempted to confer with him the second time just a few days later, the owner had already emptied his home, placed it for sale and had fled to Israel. Now that’s fast moving!
ABC: …But When FBI agents tried to interview him again a few days later, he was gone…The owner had also cleaned out of his New Jersey home, put it up for sale and returned with his family to Israel.
Translation: the man escaped! If these five Israelis were legit and had nothing to conceal, why did the FBI have such a difficult time in extracting the truth from these men? As a matter of fact, one of the Israelis, P. Kurzberg, absolutely refused to take a lie detector test for ten weeks…only to FAIL it! The five men also refused to answer questions asked by ABC regarding their detention and their activities on that fateful Tuesday morning. Another lawyer for Kurzberg incredibly admitted that his client was ‘once’ employed by the Mossad, but not to worry, he only ‘operated’ in other countries. The explanations projected by the lawyers and their clients’ produce more questions than they answer and instead of crawling out of the hole, they dig themselves deeper in it.
It’s worth pausing here to note the almost pin drop silence of the American media on this development. Was this incident not newsworthy especially with our new ‘war on terra’? But does one actually believe that the U.S. government (which Israel has an iron grip on and which has covered up Israel’s crime in the past) would have allowed the media to inform the traumatized American public that during and after the horrific attacks, five young Israeli men were arrested at gunpoint and thrown in jail for celebrating the terrorist attacks. Of course not. The media was instead too occupied drilling the theory that the most sophisticated and complex attacks in recent history was masterminded by cave men who severely disliked shopping malls, apple pies , McDonalds and Britney Spears.
At first the five Israelis were thrown in jail ostensibly for violating their visas and working without permits. A judge decided that the five men should simply be deported back to Israel. However the FBI put a ‘hold’ on the case of the dancing Israelis. To camouflage the Israelis, the government rounded thousands of Arab and South Asian visa violators along with many law abiding Muslims and Sikh citizens of America-without any evidence of wrong doing or charges being laid. It is interesting to note that almost all of the arrested Arab and South Asian men have now either been deported or released-just when their usefulness as a smoke screen for the Israelis is no longer needed.
Despite the bizarre behavior of the five Israelis; despite the fact that one of the men was hiding close to $4000 in his sock and that another Israeli was possessing two foreign passports; despite the fact that one of the men-who by his own lawyer’s confession ‘was’ a Mossad agent who refused to take a lie detector tests for over 2 months and flunked it; despite the fact that the owner of "Urban Moving Systems" packed up his bags, cleaned out his home, abandoned his business (and his clients) and fled to Israel at the speed of lightning along with the timely intervention from ‘top ranking’ Israeli diplomats, the U.S. government decided to release these five ‘visa violators’ from jail, boarded them on a plane and deported them to Israel. Mind you all of this took place clandestinely in a 3 month period in which the American public was told (demanded) to look the other way, all the way to an oil pipeline friendly country called Afghanistan.
In order to clamp down on the growing speculation within the government the FBI came to a ‘conclusion’ that although the five Israelis were not your average visa violators and although they were indeed agents working for Israeli Intelligence, they were only spying on New- Jersey Muslims organizations that were believed to be supporting groups like Hamas and where not conducting espionage missions directed at America. Grudgingly, the Jewish newspaper “Forward” (observing that to deny the entire Mossad connection-like most American-Israeli organizations had done-would erase any credibility they had) eagerly jumped on the bandwagon and admitted that despite "angry denials" from the Jewish community, it was not a rumor from the Arab world, but in fact true that five Israelis who were working for the Mossad were arrested on 9/11. “Forward” tried to spin the story in the same manner as the FBI had done, by claming that the spies were just tracking radical Muslims-a common enemy to both Israel and America, the newspaper argued.
Even if one was to accept the highly compromised theory of the U.S. government, it apparently contradicts the explanation given by the detainees and their lawyer (judging from what is written in the ABC article). If I’m not mistaken, didn’t the five Israelis deny conducting any sort of spying activity at all?
ABC: The men denied that they had been working for Israeli intelligence out of the New Jersey moving company, and Ramm Horvitz, their Israeli attorney, dismissed the allegations as ‘stupid and ridicules’.
Even though the five Israeli men denied working for the Mossad (according to what is written on the ABC article) The FBI is bending backwards insisted they did just that. The agency is practically pleading with the five Israelis to agree with its conclusion. According to ABC sources:
ABC: The Israelis were targeting these fund-raising networks because they were thought to be channeling money to Hamas and Islamic Jihad, groups that are responsible for most of the suicide bombings in Israel.
(Yes indeed, groups that are supported and mobilized by certain elements of the Israeli government to crush any efforts by both Palestinians and Israelis to bring peace to the region)
However Steve Gordon the attorney for the Israelis omits any reference to spying activities regardless if the intended target was Hamas or American itself:
ABC: But Gordon insisted that his clients were just five young men who had come to America for a vacation, ended up working for a moving company, and were taking pictures of the event.
We now come to a cross-road. One must choose whom to believe: The five dancing Israelis who were arrested only by chance due to being witnessed celebrating the murder of over 2000 innocent people as if it was New-Years, one of whom flat out refused to be subjected to lie detecting examinations; whose employer deserted his business, placed his home for sale and ran away to Israel before a blink of the eye just to avoid answering more questions or a government that has a history of forging and destroying evidence without hesitation; that has framed and even ‘terminated’ innocent citizens; that despite all the memos and warning signals that were written on their foreheads; that despite having equipment in space which have the capabilities to capture the movements of tiny insects in the ground; that despite the fact that one of the Trade Center had been attacked before, it just couldn’t ‘connect the dots’ of 9/11. Fortunately there is one other alternative: Reject both contradicting explanations made by our cheerful ‘visa violators’ and our ultra-honest government and instead rely on ones own brain and common sense, which can be achieved by preventing the mainstream government controlled media to think and form decisions on your behalf.
Since I have not viewed the Barbara Walters 20/20 television episode which dealt with the case of the five Israelis, it is possible that I may have the entire contradiction aspect of these nevertheless disturbing incidents all wrong. It could be that the five Israelis did indeed agree with the U.S. government’s theory that all they were doing was monitoring organizations that were suspected of supporting Hamas. It could be that the only contradiction is between what was reported on the show and what is written in the article. It is entirely possible that the lawyer for the Israelis, Steve Gordon didn’t intend to imply that his clients were just on a simple vacation and ended up working for a moving company but instead meant that although his clients were Mossad agents and although they were involved in espionage, it was to stop money being channeled to Hamas. All of these perceived contradictions could possibly be the result of misleading writing-on the part of the authors of the ABC article which gave the impression of contradictions. Only those who have both viewed the 20/20 show and have read the ABC internet article would know if there were differences between the explanation offered by the Israelis and by the U.S government. However even if there were no contradictions and both the U.S government and the dancing Israelis were reading from the same script, the explanations presented by both parties still doesn’t gel.
The FBI’s explanation has the virtue of simplicity-which the America public (rightly so) craves. Unfortunately, reality and common sense are not the foundation of its conclusion. If the objectives of the five young Israelis was to only keep a close eye on the activities of New-Jersey Muslim organizations, then why did the government of Israel not notify the American government in advance that they would be dispatching a team of five Mossad spies to investigate charitable organizations that may be supporting terrorist groups?
Perhaps in the past, Israel was allowed to conduct espionage on its enemy on American soil without informing the US government. But after the horrendous damage caused by Israeli mole Jonathan Pollard I very much doubt that the ‘go ahead, help yourself’ attitude prevailed. Advance notification would have assisted the Israelis since it would have avoided any misunderstandings. Joint co-operation would certainly have helped the five Israeli spies since their resources would have been multiplied. New Jersey law enforcement authorities could have provided the Israelis with useful information that they would not have been able to obtain themselves. I’m certainly not an expert in Intelligence procedures. Far from it. But one doesn’t have to work in the CIA to realize that advance notification and joint co-operation is what occurs when a foreign Intelligence agency operates in a different country to go after those “evil doers”. These simple procedures are performed so that the operation(s) runs smoothly for all parties involved. None of these procedures occur of one side turns out to be the actual ‘evil doer’ itself, which might explain why the Israeli government conducted this operation in a hush-hush manner.
Example of common intelligence procedures:
Mossad's close interest in the activities of the IRA went back to the time when the Thatcher government had, in the utmost secrecy brought Rafi Eitan to Belfast to brief the security forces the developing links between the Irish terror groups and the Hezbollah
>From those early beginning a close working relationship developed between the SAS and Mossad. Senior Mossad officers would regularly travel to SAS headquarters in Hereford to brief special forces on operations in the middle east. On at least one occasion a joint Mossad-SAS unit trialed several high-ranking IRA men from Belfast to Beirut and photographed them in meetings with Hezbollah leaders.

Despite being in hibernation for 9 months I suppose ABC should be given some slack. After all it is the only mainstream network (to the best of my knowledge) that actually had the chutzpah to seriously analyze possible Israeli connection to 9/11 and reported all the incidents that have generated all those ‘wacky conspiracy theories”. Wrong.
In a span of almost 2 years, many young Israeli men and women, disguised as art students had attempted to, quite often successfully, penetrate DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) offices from all over America. The activities of the Israelis was documented in a 60 pg DEA memo (provided by Antiwar.com) which was produced for internal use in June 2001. The 60 pg draft was to be the basis for a 250 pg detailed report which mysteriously never saw the light of day. The CIA began notifying federal agents about “suspicious visitors to federal facilities” in March 2001. The ‘art students’ managed to obtain residential addresses of many DEA agents, US. Marshal Intelligence agents and lawyers. The audacious Israelis did not hesitate to knock on the door of the startled government employee’s home and showcase their art work-many which turned out to be cheap paintings sold at the local mall. Some agents even reported that the ‘art students’, while discussing their work, also insisted coming inside their homes and use the telephone. That’s quite a sales tactic. In addition to the many US agents, one congressman from Georgia along with a Tampa state court judge also had the honor of encountering young Israeli ‘art students’, according to the Weekly Planet.
The Washington Post, in a rather obvious disinformation attempt reported that the entire Israeli spy ring allegations was the work of one single “disgruntled DEA agent”. What was conveniently ignored was that numerous US agents from all across America reported at least 130 incidents of young Israelis conducting espionage-like activities. These reports emerged from Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, El Paso, Los Angles, Miami, Orlando, New Orleans, Phoenix, San Diego, Little Rock, Seattle, Washington DC and Texas. According to the “Weekly Planet”, William Glapsy, a DEA spokesman "did acknowledge that the agency had received many reports of the nature described on the 60 pages"
In addition to wondering around DEA offices with floor maps, the ‘art students’ also visited over 30 secret and Department of Defense sites along with locations and places that are not issued identifiable addresses. According to Salon.com which has done an impressive job of exposing the ‘art student’ mystery:
Salon.com: Reports of the mysterious Israelis with an inexplicable interest in peddling art to G-men came in from more than 40 U.S. cities and continued throughout the first six months of 2001. Agents of the DEA, ATF, Air Force, Secret Service, FBI, and U.S. Marshals Service documented some 130 separate incidents of "art student" encounters. Some of the Israelis were observed diagramming the inside of federal buildings. Some were found carrying photographs they had taken of federal agents. One was discovered with a computer printout in his luggage that referred to "DEA groups”.
• On March 1, 2001, a DEA special agent in the Tampa division offices "responded to a knock at one of the fifth floor offices. At the door was a young female who immediately identified herself as an Israeli art student who had beautiful art to sell. She was carrying a crudely made portfolio of unframed pictures." Aware of the "art student" alert, the agent invited the girl to an interview room, where he was joined by a colleague to listen to the girl's presentation. "She had approximately 15 paintings of different styles, some copies of famous works, and others similar in style to famous artists. When asked her name, she identified herself as Bella Pollcson, and pointed out one of the paintings was signed by that name." Then things got interesting: In the middle of her presentation, she changed her story and claimed that the paintings were not for sale, but "that she was there to promote an art show in Sarasota, Fla., and asked for the agents' business cards so that information regarding the show could be mailed to them." Well, where's the show? asked the agents. When's it going up? Pollcson couldn't say: didn't know when or where -- or even who was running it. Later it was determined that she had lied about her name as well.
• On Oct. 20, 2000, in the Houston offices of the DEA, a "male Israeli art student was observed by the Security Officers [entering] an elevator from a secure area. [The officers] were able to apprehend the art student before he could enter a secure area on the second floor." Three months later, in January 2001, a "male Israeli" was apprehended attempting to enter the same building from a back door in a "secured parking lot area." He claimed "he wanted to gain access to the building to sell artwork."
• On April 30, 2001, an Air Force alert was issued from Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City concerning "possible intelligence collection being conducted by Israeli Art Students." Tinker AFB houses AWACS surveillance craft and Stealth bombers. The report does not elaborate on what kind of intelligence was being sought.
• On May 19, 2001, two Israeli nationals "requested permission to visit a museum" at Volk Field Air National Guard Base in Camp Douglas, Wis. "Approximately ten minutes after being allowed on the base, the two were seen on an active runway, taking photographs." The men, charged with misdemeanor trespass, were identified as 26-year-old Gal Kantor and 22-year-old Tsvi Watermann, and were released after paying a $210 fine. According to the Air Force security officer on duty, "Both were asked if they were involved in the selling of art while in the U.S. Kantor became very upset over this, and questioned why they were being asked about that ... Kantor's whole demeanor changed, and he then became uncooperative."
In a subsequent DEA memo in December 2001, agents admitted many security breaches in the agency’s telecommunications system-which were purchased from Israeli companies (Amdocs)-by unauthorized “foreign national”. According to the “Weekly Planet:
Weekly Planet: At the same time, American intelligence services were increasingly worried by the dominance of many highly sensitive areas of telecommunications by Israeli companies. Comverse Infosys (now called Verint) provides U.S. lawmen with computer equipment for wiretapping. Speculation is that "catch gates" in the system allowed listeners to be listened to. Software made by another Israeli outfit, Amdocs, provided extensive records of virtually all calls placed by the 25 largest U.S. telephone companies. The relationship of those companies to the detained Israelis is detailed in the 60-page document. The DEA's intense interest in the case stems from its 1997 purchase of $25-million in interception equipment from Israeli companies, according to a March 14 report by Intelligence Online, a French Web-based service that first revealed the existence of the 60-page document. "In assigning so many resources to the inquiry (all DEA offices were asked to contribute)," Intelligence Online stated, "the agency was clearly worried that its own systems might have been compromised." Often the Israeli "students" sold their artwork on street locations near federal buildings. In Tampa on March 1, 2001, a DEA agent heard a knock on his office door. According to the government report: " At the door was a young female who immediately identified herself as an Israeli art student who had beautiful art to sell." Knowing about the security alert, the agent began questioning the "student." After several contradictory statements, the agent concluded "her responses were evasive at best."
During much of 2001, INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) deported over 100 Israelis ostensibly (similar to the five Israelis ABC referred to) for visa violations. It seems odd that so many of Israelis didn’t apparently read their visa polices.
Salon.com: "Their stories," the DEA report states, "were remarkable only in their consistency. At first, they will state that they are art students, either from the University of Jerusalem or the Bezalel Academy of Arts in Jerusalem. Other times they will purport to be promoting a new art studio in the area. When pressed for details as to the location of the art studio or why they are selling the paintings, they become evasive."
Indeed, they had reason to be nervous, because they were lying. Salon contacted Bezalel Academy's Varda Harel, head of the Academic Students' Administration, with a list of every "student" named in the DEA report, including their dates of birth, passport numbers, and in some cases military registration numbers. Not a single name was identified in the Bezalel database, either as a current student or as a graduate of the past 10 years (nor had any of the "students" tried to apply to Bezalel in the last ten years). As for the University of Jerusalem, there is no such entity. There is the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, but Heidi Gleit, the school's foreign press liaison, told me that Israelis commonly refer to the school as Hebrew University, not the University of Jerusalem. (Hebrew University, she said, does not release student records to the public.)
Due to the large number of Israelis involved in the drug racket, many apologists for Israel have attempted to downplay the entire ‘art student’ episode by suggesting it had everything to do with drug-crime related issues and nothing to do with espionage directed at America. Embassy spokesman Mark Requev predictably denied the entire concept of Israeli espionage, “We are saying what we’ve been saying for months. No American official or Intelligence agency has come to us about this. This story is nonsense. Israel does not spy on the United States”. If Mr. Requev actually managed to control his laughter when he asserted that, he truly deserves an Oscar. Perhaps he should examine the history of the country he speaks for.
The French newspaper, Le Monde along with Intelligence Online decided to reveal the Israeli ‘art student’ affair and suggested that “a huge Israeli spy-ring operating in the United States had been rolled up by the Justice Department's counter-espionage service”. Disgusted by the American media’s silence, Jane’s Information Group observed “It is rather strange that the US media seems to be ignoring what may well be the most explosive story since the 11 September attacks — the alleged break-up of a major Israeli espionage operation in the USA.”
Florida seemed to have been a hotbed for the Israelis. Florida at the same time was also a temporary home to Mohammad Atta and his cronies. In fact, some Israelis resided just a few blocks away from Atta’s address, which have generated speculations that the Israelis were monitoring the activities of the soon to be hijackers and may have even gained advance knowledge of the 9/11 attacks. After the attacks, at least 60 more Israelis were arrested and deported for minor ‘visa violations’, even though some of them, like the dancing Israelis, also failed to pass several lie detector examinations.
Many kiosks in shopping malls were also abruptly desertedafter police began connecting the dots regarding these ‘art students’.
Three months after the attacks, Fox news reporter Carl Cameron began exposing the mystery of Israelis posing as art students in a four part series called “Special Report with Brit Hume”. One investigator, according to the report, told Cameron that ‘evidence linking these Israelis to 9/11 is classified. I cannot tell you about evidence that has been gathered. It’s classified information”. Naturally, Cameron was subsequently chewed up by apologists of Israel from left to right. The target was identified and the smear campaign began.
Salon: … CAMERA's associate director, Alex Safian, said that several "Jewish/Israeli groups" were having "conversations" with representatives of Fox News regarding Cameron's piece. Safian said he questioned Cameron's motives in running the story. "I think Fox has always been fair to Israel in its reporting," said Safian. "I think it's just Cameron who has something, personally, about Israel. He was brought up in the Middle East. Maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe he's very sympathetic to the Arab side. One could ask." The implicit suggestion was that Cameron is a bigot; in conversation, Safian would later make the same allegation about the entire editorial helm at Le Monde, which he called an anti-Semitic newspaper.
As a result of those “conversations”, Fox erased the entire 4 four part series of the Israeli art students from its website. No traces of Cameron’s investigation piece can be located at Fox’s archive section.
Salon: When Le Monde contacted Fox in March for a copy of the original tapes, Fox News spokesmen said the request posed a problem but would not elaborate. (Fox News now says Le Monde never called.) Asked why the Cameron piece disappeared, spokesman Robert Zimmerman said it was "up there on our Web site for about two or three weeks and then it was taken down because we had to replace it with more breaking news… When informed that Cameron's story was gone from the archives, not simply from the headline pages (when you entered the old URL, a Fox screen appeared with the message "This story no longer exists"), Zimmerman replied, "I don't know where it is."
Many government agents-agents who put America first-were and are being intimated in-order to prevent further flow of information from reaching the public such as the DEA report. According to a source of Salon:
Salon: "There are a lot of people under a lot of pressure right now because there's a great effort to discredit the story, discredit the connections, prevent people from going any further”
Salon: Stability (the source) said that the DEA's Office of Professional Responsibility is currently undertaking an aggressive investigation targeting agents suspected of leaking the June 2001 memo… at least 14 agents -- including some in agencies other than DEA -- are now under intense scrutiny and interrogation. Half a dozen agents have been polygraphed several times over, computers have been seized, desks have been searched.
Salon: "I will tell you that there is still great debate over what [the art students’] specific purposes were and are," Stability went on. "When you take an individual who picks up a group of individuals from an airport, individuals who supposedly have no idea what they're doing in-country, who fly on over from a foreign land, whose airline tickets could in some instances total a value greater than $15,000 -- and who get picked up at the airport and drive specifically to one individual's home, which they know the exact directions to: Yeah, you could say there's a problem here. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand that.”
