Politics is going nuclear in Nevada this year.  The two main contenders for
the seat of retiring Sen. Richard Bryan (D) -- Democrat Ed Bernstein and
former Republican Rep. John Ensign -- both oppose the federal government's
plan to build a nuclear waste dump at Yucca Mountain in Nevada.  But though
the national Republican party has been pushing the dump plan more forcefully
than Democrats, Ensign argues that he's the better choice because he'd have
more clout in a GOP-led Congress.  Grist's Muckraker also has the lowdown on
