Air America is Gatekeeper Radio

I tuned in early this morning to hear the new “liberal” radio network Air America, as it was to debut today here in New York on radio WLIB. I heard the Beatles sing “Revolution” at 6am not realizing that this new station wouldn’t begin its regular programming until the O’Franken Factor at noon. I tuned in a little late and heard Al Franken being greeted to the airwaves by G. Gordon Liddy and Ben Stein. I didn’t need a reminder of Franken’s politics. I mean I knew that he was in favor of the invasion of Iraq and was a supporter of John Kerry.
What I did learn after Franken’s interview with Bob Kerry of the 9-11 Cover-up Commission is that Franken rejects any “conspiracy theory” that states that the Bush Administration had some foreknowledge of the 9-11 attack. Franken believes that they were just asleep at the switch. Now, Franken is no high school graduate like Limbaugh or some intellectual lightweight like Sean Hannity, Franken is a very bright, educated man who knows exactly what he is doing. It was chilling to hear.
I don’t think that I will hear Mike Ruppert, Alex Jones, David Icke, John Kaminski, Cynthia McKinney or even John Judge on the O’Franken factor discussing 9-11 very soon. The situation on Air America is kind of like Pacifica in that regard: gatekeepers.
I will listen to Air America as I do Pacifica and NPR. But for my tastes right now the best radio show for important information is the Meria Heller Show which is available on the Internet at

If Meria Heller were on Air America I would know that it is the real deal. On Meria’s show I know that I would hear Mike Ruppert, Alex Jones, David Icke, John Kaminski, Cynthia McKinney and John Judge. The bonus of listening to Meria Heller is that I will be introduced to many other truth seekers who possess essential information each week.
Right now I am listening to Janeane Garofalo on Air America. Dave Chappelle is on talking about what was done to Howard Dean and the truth of polling. Chappelle concluded that America is not ready to handle the truth. I am encouraged. He said that he was “disgusted” and “confused.”
Earlier I checked out Randi Rhodes briefly. She sounded like a real pro, radio wise. A successful broadcaster doing “liberal” radio for ten years in Florida on WJTO (a Clear Channel station), Rhodes really wanted to go national. I’ll tell you that during her interview with former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright Rhodes impressed me with her skills. I could really hear that Secretary Albright was a human being who made conscious choices. Rhodes may well be a very accomplished gatekeeper.
I was never a fan of liberals, going back to the Vietnam War period. Liberals talk the talk, but when the shit hits the fan they take a walk. Liberals go along to get along.
John Kerry and Al Franken are two guys who are liberal and supported the invasion and occupation of Iraq. With what I have heard today I can safely say that Air America is truly liberal radio, nothing more nothing less.
Air America is gatekeeper radio.
