-Caveat Lector- Well, I went to this article and read it and was surprised that it never once added in the new votes discovered that were for Bush. By only adding in the 'found' Gore votes, sure he will come out ahead. One must add in both sides of newly counted votes. Plus with every handling, more chads re going to become displaced. Despite statements to the contrary, they are pre-punched and fall out very easily. And their references to articles in the Miami Herald are not quoted at all as I remember reading them. As for the black democratic poll workers discriminating against other black voters, one can hardly blame Republicans for that~~or can one? That seems to be what is being done here. Curious way of thinking. Even one of the witnesses before the Civil Rights Commission said it was the white poll worker helping her and the black one rying to send her away. Ms. Berry also said she did not understand this. Now democrats want to proceed with care at these reforms they are making for they have used this system for decades to skew the local elections in their favor. If they become too "up and above board" they will lose their ability to guarantee local elections. I cannot understand why any blacks would vote for Democrats or Republicans with this bogus 'war on drugs' imprisoning a whole generation. I would think they would be Libertarians (I am not one, either) in droves. I suspect many voted that way and because they are black it is presumed they voted for Gore when in fact that is not the case. Of course, Florida was picked for this because of Jeb Bush being governor and it has a history, like Chicago, of crooked elections. I will be very interested to see just what is done at the LOCAL level to correct these things.
