I think the key subliminal phrase here is 'they TOLERATED IT
HAPPENING' instead of 'they PLAN IT'. Plus '"the problem lies more in
the FBI structure'.
What's interesting is the 'rogue operation' concept, basis of many a
CIA thriller. If all the combined controlled burns fail to contain
the forest fire, W might resort to scapegoating a group of CIA-
controlled Manchurian Candidates. The (real) Evil Ones might even try
to include Lt Vreeland in this. There was a previous suggestion by a
disinfo vendor that Vreeland might be part of the 911 plot!?!? I'm
certain the good Lt is ready for that whopper.

TOP US BRASS CONVINCED 911 AN "INSIDE OPERATION"

WIESBADEN, June 5 (EIRNS)--TOP BRASS OF THE AMERICAN MILITARY
WERE -- AND LIKELY STILL ARE -- CONVINCED THAT THE SEPT. 11
ATROCITIES WERE LARGELY THE RESULT OF AN "INSIDE OPERATION," and
"not primarily the work of the Arabs or bin Laden," stated a
senior European military intelligence figure, during a discussion
at a conference on "transatlantic intelligence relations," that
took place near Berlin, over the past weekend.
This individual had made a public statement, during the
conference proceedings, that he was astonished, while attending
an Islamic Conference Organization summit, as an observer, some
months ago, to hear representatives of the Kosovo Liberation Army
(KLA, or UCK) and elements of the Bosnian Muslims express their
gratitude to al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, and various other Islamic
fundamentalist groups, for helping them. Then, he added, "Isn't
this interesting, because the UCK has been fully backed, by the
western secret services."
When this was followed up in private discussion thereafter,
he affirmed, "Of course, the Americans first, the Germans second,
have been deeply involved with the UCK. And to think that the
Americans claim to have been surprised by September 11!"
Asked what he meant by the latter comment, he went on,
"These Islamic fundamentalists were all creatures
of the western secretservices. Who's bin Laden?
By himself, he's nothing. Look, I was in Washington,
during and after the events of Sept. 11, and I can tell you,
although I am not at liberty to give any names,
that I was with friends of mine, at high levels of the Pentagon,
and the American military services, and THEY were certain, that
what had happened on Sept. 11, could never have been done,
WITHOUT significant inside help, from WITHIN THE U.S. ITSELF.
They all were emphatic, that a group of Arabs, or bin Laden,
could not have pulled off an operation, of such intricacy."
He completely agreed, that the way the operation was carried out,
with the World Trade Center hit first, and then the Pentagon,
was meant to create the impression, worldwide,
of a "bin Laden terror act."
He also said he is convinced, that there is some kind of "rogue
operation," more or less like the French OAS, involved in all this,
but his own sense, is that "the problem lies more in the FBI
structure, than in the military as such."
Furthermore, he commented that "I am not saying,
definitively, that some U.S. group DID it, it may have been,
rather, that they TOLERATED IT HAPPENING."
The source emphatically dismissed bin Laden as "a nothing,
a joke," and said that, for him, what has to be looked at,
in combination, to make sense of Sept. 11, are: "the western,
especially American operation with Islamic fundamentalists;
the strong cooperation, on such matters and other matters,
of the Americans and Israel; and the geopolitical strategy
by this Administration, to get its hands on energy supplies,
in places where the Americans weren't involved before."
