The history of Opium and its trade will reveal that its use as a tool to reverse trade
deficits and re-patriate precious metals has always led to conflict. It is the trade
in arms/contraband or the attempt to dominate this trade which establishes the cycle
of violence between nations/empires, because it results in the economic pre-eminence
of one nation over the other. This ruthless regime is central to geopolitical
interest and froms the nexus of parapolitical strategy.
It should be noted that Japan was the prominent trader in Opium/heroin to China,
Korea, Vietnam prior to WWII. Its regional expansionism used the trade as a strategic
weapon to undermine opposing states with corruption, and to afford an arms race. It
should come as no surprise that the U.S. has these regions as a major portion of their
geopolitcal strategy post WWII, and that the conflicts in these areas are carbon
copies of one another.
Germany profitted greatly from the alcohol prohibtion, as did Britain- the traditional
profiteer from prohibtions/trade on Opium, alcohol, precious spices for centuries.
The rise of fascism was supported covertly by Britain/U.S. interests, until it was
seen to be a danger greater than Stalinist Russia. The initial strategy of
undermining communism in Soviet Russia did work for a time until the Germans expended
the force of their economy by the time they arrived in Stalingrad, but had also
endangered the capitalist world.
Because the OSS and SIS had worked covertly with the Abwehr prior to WWII on
parapolitical agendas involving prohibitionist/contraband trade, it should be noted
that fascism was protected by the assmiliation of many operatives from Germany at the
close of the war.
The many ironies of history can be easily followed by tracing prohibtionist trade.
