Erroneous information. Seagram's has always been based in Canada. The Bronfmans, however, live in New York. Edgar Bronfman, Sr. was married to the daughter of John L. Loeb, of the old Loeb, Rhodes investment bank. The Loebs are also married to Lehmans. Stephen Birmingham states in his book that the family members had a great number of investments, and that they created an intelligence force similar to the CIA to protect their investments long before the CIA existed.
