MILES J. DALE
PRODUCER
J. Miles Dale serves as Producer of the USA Original Movie Wolf Girl.
Dale is a prolific producer and director whose introduction to the
entertainment business came early in life. When his father, James Dale,
worked as the musical director on such ground breaking television variety
shows as The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and The Sonny and Cher Show, Miles
often tagged along to the studio and soaked it all in. While still in his
teens, he landed his first job as a production assistant on John Byner’s
Bizarre series for Showtime. He has since worked in radio (as a jazz DJ),
live TV, variety, sitcoms, television drama, and feature films.
Dale co-produced The Skulls II, the sequel to the 1999 box office hit The
Skulls, for Universal and executive producer Neal H. Moritz. Prior to Wolf
Girl, Dale co-produced Oscar-nominated writer/director James Toback’s new
feature Harvard Man, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Eric Stoltz.
In 1999, Dale produced USA’s highest rated movie of the year, the critically-
acclaimed All American Girl: The Mary Kay Letourneau Story starring Penelope
Ann Miller and Mercedes Ruehl.
Previously, Dale spent a number of years producing and directing television
pilots and series for most of the major networks and syndication companies.
He co-executive produced both the pilot and two seasons of the popular action
show F/X: The Series, and also helped adapt the Robocop franchise for
television, going on to produce the two-hour pilot and 22 episodes of
Robocop: The Series for worldwide syndication. In addition, he produced three
seasons of the popular reality series Top Cops for CBS, and three seasons of
the cult classic Friday the 13th: The Series for executive producer Frank
Mancuso Jr. and Paramount. These four series scored numerous Gemini, Emmy,
Peabody and other awards for episodes Dale produced and directed.
As a director, Dale’s credits include multiple episodes of F/X: The Series
and Top Cops, as well as episodes of Gene Roddenberry’s Earth: Final
Conflict, Andromeda, and Robocop: The Series.
He is currently writing his first feature, Stolen Fire, which he plans to
direct.

(11/21/01) The L.A. Times reports that Universal is developing two scripts,
one of which leaves out Diesel's character, in case the much-wanted actor
doesn't sign. A sneaky suspicion comes to mind... could such a Diesel-less
sequel end up direct-to-video like Skulls 2 (the sequel to another movie
starring Paul Walker) will be?

What was it like working in the "Skulls II"?
"Skulls II" was a little more on the serious side, but good I learned a lot
from the director and my fellow actors. Plus Toronto, Ontario is beautiful.
