DIEBOLD INC. – BEWARE OF NEW VOTING TECHNOLOGIES THAT LEAVE NO PAPER TRAILS!

by Brent M.P. Beleskey, Investigative Researcher

Recently the State of Florida and other states have mandated unverifiable, ballotless, bogus "touch screen" alleged computerized elections, with the help of the Federal Government paying half the expense, at the cost of billions of tax dollars.

In addition, the election company Global Elections was recently bought by Diebold Inc. (Red China connection; Diebold has a multi-billion dollar deal with Red China Banks, installing ATM Machines. It has been previously discussed through the Internet, that the world should be voting, via ATM Machine, in the near future.)  (Please see www.diebold.com / / www.dieboldes.com .)

The "touch screen" has just been deemed to be "unproven" technology by MIT, Caltech and the Carter/Ford Commission Report on Elections.  To my knowledge, there has been absolutely no challenge to these reports.

Recently, Jay Leno on NBC’s Tonight show, commented about the McBride and Reno Democratic unverifiable primary election fiasco in Florida.  Leno said the State of Florida had changed from unreadable computer "punch cards" to "these so-called, touch screen things." On September 16, 2002, Leno said: "I guess you know by now Florida's new high tech "touch screen" voting machines don’t seem to be working too well.  Now, there's a well thought-out plan.  Let's go to a state with the most old people in it and bring in a machine that requires good eyesight and a steady hand!"

Will Diebold Inc. now sue Leno for telling the truth?  Stay tuned!

Why would Diebold, a noted international security company that is now protecting the actual Charters of Freedom: the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, at the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C., purchase a ballotless, nontransparent, unsecured, unaccountable, unauditable, unreliable, unverifiable, deemed "unproven" "touch screen" technology and then market it throughout the world, via the United Nations and Red China -- at the same time verifiable paper ballots and ballot boxes are being outlawed state by state?

In the administration of Constitutional law, "due process, touch screen" ballotless computers, are a hoax and are without question, unconstitutional in their application, as a free, true and real, election device.

VOTERS IN MARYLAND, GEORGIA AND KANSAS SHOW WIDESPREAD ACCEPTANCE TO NEW TECHNOLOGY

NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Diebold Election Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Diebold, Incorporated, today announced its touch-screen voting terminals performed extremely well in four counties within the state of Maryland. This election marks the state’s first widespread use of the new AccuVote-TS electronic touch-screen voting system to be deployed statewide for future elections.

Over 40 percent of the state's 2.7 million registered voters, located in four counties —Montgomery, Prince George’s, Allegany and Dorchester — were the first to use the new electronic voting system in Tuesday’s primary election.

Currently, Diebold has touch-screen voting systems in more than 170 counties in many states throughout the United States, totaling more than 35,000 voting stations. Diebold’s touch-screen system was not utilized in the recent Florida primary election.

“The response from voters was absolutely positive,” said Margaret Jurgensen, election director, Montgomery County Board of Elections. “I spoke to many voters after they cast their ballots, and they stated that they loved the ease of voting with the new system. Many voters commented about the ease of reading the ballot on the touch screen. One visually impaired voter was able to vote for the first time without assistance because of the ballot magnification feature of the system. As with any new technology, our election staff grew more comfortable with the system as the day progressed, and we see the implementation of the touch screen system continuing to improve as our staff becomes more familiar with the technology.”

“Our first touch screen primary election was a tremendous success,” stated Donna Rahe, Dorchester County election director. “The voters of Dorchester County adapted to the touch screen technology extremely well, and the combined coordination efforts of the county’s election staff and Diebold Election Systems caused a very smooth transition to the new election system.”

Diebold experienced similar success in August when voters in Hall and Marion counties in the state of Georgia tallied primary election results on the touch-screen voting system. Georgia is the first state in the country to implement a uniform statewide, computerized touch-screen voting system. Earlier this year, Diebold announced a $54 million agreement with Georgia officials to overhaul the state’s election system technology making the state a national leader in replacing outdated election equipment.

Georgia’s new uniform electronic voting system received its first test in the Primary Election and the Diebold units passed with flying colors,” said Georgia Secretary of State Cathy Cox, Georgia’s chief elections official. “Throughout Hall and Marion Counties we heard extremely positive comments from voters and poll workers about the convenience, security and ease of use of the new AccuVote-TS units.”

Voters in Johnson County, Kansas, were pleased with the touch-screen system as well. Approximately 99-percent of the voters who completed a comment card after using the system gave it a favorable rating.

“The Johnson County Election Office is proud of its reputation of making voting convenient and accessible,” said Connie Schmidt, Johnson County Election Commissioner. “We are pleased to be the first county in the Midwest to deploy touch-screen voting computers to all polling places countywide.”

“Considering the magnitude of these elections, which includes more than 870,000 registered voters within the four Maryland counties, we are very pleased with the results as every single vote was accurately counted,” said Bob Urosevich, president of Diebold Election Systems, Inc. “Increased familiarity with the system will continue to make the process even smoother in future elections. We are working with the voters, poll workers and election officials to ensure that the entire process is intuitive and streamlined for everyone involved.”

Diebold Election Systems offers a comprehensive solution that includes advanced technology, project management, service and voter outreach. The AccuVote-TS system offers voters an entirely new state-of-the-art design that represents a major leap forward in voting technology. Many voters feel comfortable using the system because the user interface is very similar to that of an automated teller machine. The reliable and efficient system accurately and securely captures each vote.

From my June 27, 2001 article:

Congressman Steny Hoyer (D), Congressman Bob Ney (R), and
60 co-sponsors of the so-called, "Voting Improvement Act" have prepared a document stating:

  1. The punch-card voting system must go, (along with the paper trail?).
  2. Replace this system with technologies. (with more unverifiable technologies?).
  3. The federal government must not try to mandate solutions (but instead, hang out 5 billion dollars in front of all states, as bait?).
  4. The federal government must give cash grants to computer corporations, to develop this new system.

Ney and Hoyer maintain they have a unique opportunity to improve our system
of government. Would that improvement be changing
America from a
"representative democracy" to a feared dictatorial "direct democracy"?

The Chief Election Officer of Ontario, Canada, maintains that the private
paper ballot, ballot box, hand count and scrutinized / witnessed at local
precincts (max 500 voters / precinct), is the best election process in any
democracy. The method has been tried, tested and is true. It is servicing
over 35 million Canadians as well as many communities throughout the
U.S. and the world. VotersCoaliton.com agrees.

The Deputy Commissioner of Elections of the USA, Bill Kimberling declared on
June 7, 2000 at an annual meeting of the Maryland Association of Elected
Officials: "The Emperor has no clothes.” He called Internet voting (ballotless elections) "a breeding ground for fraud" and a business-driven threat to democracy. In addition, the sanctity of the secret (private) vote would also be in danger, if computerized Internet voting (ballotless elections) were continued to be allowed.

"If people like Saddam Hussein and the Colombian Drug Cartel and friends,
have the technical means to undermine the free worlds election process,
why should we accommodate them? Remember, we elect judges and sheriffs
also, don't we?" stated, Kimberling.

Seven states, at local levels used a ballotless, computerized, touch
screen election process, supplied by Global Elections Systems
(globalelections.com, now Diebold.com), in the last federal presidential elections.

When Bob Urosevich from Global was asked if his 10 billion-dollar
ballotless touch-screen election system scheme can deliver a legal
recount, Mr. Urosevich stated: "You must get with the program. You just
have to trust the system."

What is there to trust, if there are no ballots to count or recount? It was former president Ronald Reagan, in response to the Soviet Union’s missile supply, who said: "Trust, but verify!"

On May 10, 2001, Chris Matthews on Hardball interviewed Congressman Ney concerning the 5 billion dollar plus "Voting Improvement Act."

Matthews: "What's the best voting system that you know off? What's the
simplest, the one with a good paper trail, that can't be cheated on and
works for 100% of the people, or close to it?

Ney: “The touch screen, as far as I know, is supposed to be a good
device."

Matthews "But no paper trail! How do you recount a machine, that was done
like an ATM machine? Is there a paper trail of how the person voted, so you
can recount afterwards?"

Ney: "Well I think, what there will be, there we be a technology trail of
sorts..."

Matthews: "Do you trust the sharpies in the big cities, that are always ahead
of you one step to adjust the numbers before even people vote that
morning, which is an old tradition, in some cities?"

Ney (laughing): “Ahee, well, ahee, you got to watch that, you know."

May 22, 2001 – At a House Full Committee Hearing on Improving Voting
Technology, Dr. Rebecca Mercuri, professor of computer science stated: "…I would like to remind the Committee that technology can not and does not, at present, provide a solution to the balloting and tabulation problem."

Peter Neumann, an internationally recognized professor of computer science
and Dr. Mercuri's mentor, also agrees and finds the use of "touch screen"
outrageous. "I am adamantly opposed to touch screen systems," stated
Neumann.

In his book, Democracy Derailed, David Broder warns of a new form of
"direct democracy without ballots," the very form of government the Founders feared most.

This global "direct democracy / anarchist-communist" movement is driven by “Referendum and Initiative Campaigns," paid for by a handful of billionaire
elitists, including George Soros. They are proliferating pro-gun control, pro-abortion, pro-euthanasia, pro-drugs, pro-gambling and pro-child
pornography.

They promote ballotless touch screen / telephone / Internet
voting. (See www.ballot.org , www.ballotwatch.org , www.iandrinstitute.org ,

Remember tyrant Joseph Stalin's statement: “Those who case the votes decide
nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything!"

We can add: especially when there is nothing at all to count!
