Its International Business Editor Patrick J. Lyons wrote us and called it a "defamatory screed" (but failed, upon challenge, to cite a single incorrect fact). It's not every day, Kind Reader, that we get a nasty "call your lawyer" letter from a NY Times editor, a moment so special that we think we should share it all with you, out in the open. Because for all his bluster, NY Times editor Patrick Lyons clearly doesn't understand his own newspaper's Code of Ethics. We found many, many paragraphs from that ethics code that Lyons and his (ex)-reporter Francisco Toro seem to be unaware of how they apply to their work. So, today, we place Patrick J. Lyons on the witness stand, under oath, and get to the bottom of how the "paper of record" violates its own rulebook: http://www.narconews.com/ What credibility, after all, does the New York Times have holding others to any standard when its editorial management doesn't adhere to its own? from somewhere in a country called América, Al Giordano Publisher The Narco News Bulletin http://www.narconews.com/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe for free alerts of new reports: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/narconews Suscríbete gratis para alertas de reportajes nuevos en Español: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/narconewsandes _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Your use of Yahoo! Proselytizing propagandic screeds are unwelcomed. Substance—not soap-boxing—please! These are sordid matters and 'conspiracy theory'—with its many half-truths, mis- directions and outright frauds—is used politically by different groups with major and minor effects spread throughout the spectrum of time and thought. That being said, CTRLgives no endorsement to the validity of posts, and always suggests to readers; be wary of what you read. CTRL gives no credence to Holocaust denial and nazi's need not apply.
