Daniel Hopsicker is a friend of mine and a true patriot. He's also a personal
friend of Debbie Seal, and has seen the trauma her sons have caused her as
they seem to be trying to emulate the most sordid side of their father's
persona.

In 1960 my brother John and his best friend (Barry Seal) flew to Lacombe,
La., to meet with David Ferry. John didn't know who Ferry was (he was just a
very strange-looking man, according to John) at the time. When they arrived,
Ferry was sitting in folding chair in front of a Civil Air Patrol formation
(comprised of hi-school-aged boys). Seal talked to Ferry for about 10 mins
while John stood far enough away not to overhear their conversation. Ferry
was a full-time Eastern Airlines commercial pilot, a part-time CIA operative,
and commander of the New Orleans Civil Air Patrol unit at the time. He used
the CAP to lure boys into his gay love ring. That morning John also noticed a
"platoon" of "Cuban-looking" men (he said they looked like Castro or Che
Guevara), dressed in military fatigues, standing around on the tarmac at
Lacombe. Daniel and I both believe that the CIA was working closely with
anti-Castro Cubans at that time, and that they were being trained by Special
Forces people in the woods near Lacombe. One of the boys in Ferry's CAP unit
was "Lee Oswald." Some of us (I can't speak for Daniel) believe that Lee
Oswald (Harvey was his middle name) had become romantically involved with
Ferry, and that later, after he got married, Ferry threatened to spill the
beans on Oswald. That, coupled with a few other things (time won't permit me
to write about here), spells "P-a-t-s-y." Oswald did not kill JFK. The CIA
did. And Seal may well have flown the getaway plane for the real assassins.
Daniel's research indicates that.

Daniel has done a yeoman's job of researching these things. I won't steal
his thunder, but when his book "Barry and the Boys" comes out, I can assure
you the read will be worth the effort.
