Pentagon Orders 9,000 Purple Hearts NEW YORK, May 28 - The New York Post disclosed in a front page May 28 story, headlined "Purple Heart Puzzle," that the Pentagon has ordered 9,000 Purple Heart medals from Graco Industries of Tomball, Texas, for delivery this fall. Purple Hearts are awarded to American soldiers wounded in combat. "I was a little surprised to get that big an order from the Defense Logistics Agency," said Lee Graves, the company owner. "I have been producing medals and campaign ribbons for 20 years and never have I been asked by the Defense Department to come up with a Purple Heart." --- TiM Ed.: So much for the "no casualties" claims by the Washington-Brussels "lie and deny" crowd. All Russian Officers Recalled from U.S. Military Colleges MOSCOW, May 28 - In a protest against NATO's continued bombing of Yugoslavia, the Russian defense ministry has recalled all its officers studying at various American military colleges, the Itar-Tass news agency reported in Moscow on May 28. Yevgeny Sobolev, the spokesman for the ministry, said that this order affects nine Russian officers who were receiving training at the U.S. military educational establishments under the International Educational Program for Training Military Specialists. Some of them have already left the United States while the others are to go home shortly. They were all studying at the U.S. Army and Navy colleges in Pennsylvania (Carlisle), California (San Francisco), New York, and in one of the suburbs of Washington. ---------------- 3. Quayle Knocks a Nail into NATO's Coffin; Drives Another through His Foot WASHINGTON, May 27 - Dan Quayle, former vice president and now a Republican presidential candidate for year 2000 elections, knocked another nail into NATO's coffin in his column published May 27 by the Washington Times. An heir to an Indiana publishing empire, who now makes his home in Arizona, was also trying to knock out the wimp image which shadowed him during his 1988-1992 tenure at the George Bush White House. "In Kosovo... the idea that a bad policy can be made better, by merely escalating it in order to win, is an illusion," Quayle wrote. "It is more likely to further erode American credibility, and may well spell the end of NATO." Quayle said that "the world's only superpower," which American has become, "is to serve as the one honest broker on whom every other nation can rely to help resolve conflicts." Not to do the heavy lifting by becoming a party to a conflict. "We should never allow alliances like NATO... to dictate the agenda to us." --- TiM Ed.: Beg your pardon? Is the former Veep trying to tell us that Washington, which owns and runs NATO for all intents and purposes, has been an innocent superpower-lamb suckered into the Kosovo conflict by the big bad Europeans? If so, wonder what planet the Ex-Veep-Wimp had lived on since leaving Washington? Must have been one devoid of humanoid aliens who call themselves the New World Order elite. Worse, Quayle's idea that we should be the honest broker on whom "every other nation" in world can rely "to help resolve conflicts" - is not only stupid; it is contradictory. It is stupid, because it assumes, just like Bill Clinton's policy, that it is America's business to meddle in every other nations' conflicts. It is contradictory, because it assumes, just like Clinton, that other nations would welcome as mediators the superpowers which are not prepared to do the heavy lifting needed to have conflicts resolved. Scratch "Quayle, the Ex-Veep-Wimp." Write in "Quayle, the Candidate-Wimp," another globalist "conservative" wolf in a "liberal" sheep's clothing. Like that other Bush from the Texas bush league - with a silver spoon in his mouth, and a barrel of oil as his icon. ---------------- 4. A Nuremberg Prosecutor: Charge the U.S. War Criminals, Too WASHINGTON, May 23 - Walter Rockler, a Washington-based lawyer and a prosecutor at the Nuremberg war crimes trial after WW II, said in a May 23 Chicago Tribune OpEd piece that, "those (like Bill Clinton) who live in glass houses should be careful about throwing stones." "We have engaged in a flagrant military aggression, ceaselessly attacking a small country, primarily to demonstrate that we run the world," he said. The rationale offered by Clinton to justify this attack on a sovereign country, "does not lessen the culpability of the authors of this aggression." In support of his judgment, this Washington lawyer cites a Nuremberg court order: "To initiate a war of aggression, therefore, is not only an international crime, it is the supreme international crime, differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole." At Nuremberg, the U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Robert Jackson, the head of the American prosecution staff, asserted that, "launching a war of aggression is a crime that no political or economic situation can justify." So if, what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, off to the gallows with the CCCC killers - Clinton, Clark, Cohen and Chirac? Along the ABC's of hate and warmongering - Albright, Blair and Cook, not to mention the rest of the NATO war criminals? Well, the Nuremberg prosecutor didn't quite go as far as to name all the NATO leaders who should be charged with war crimes, but he did say that, "in addition to shredding the U.N. Charter and perverting the purpose of NATO, Clinton has already violated at least two provisions of the United States Constitution" (Article I, Section 8 and Article VI. In other words, the only way for Clinton to weasel out of the heap of legal trouble he is already in, is to keep committing more crimes. Against the Constitution and the American people. If we, the People, let him. With our silence and acquiescence. ---------------- 5. Majority of Greeks Want Clinton, Others Tried for War Crimes ATHENS, May 27 - Even if we are told that most Americans are supporting Clinton's war on Serbia (by a 49% to 47% margin, if we are to believe the latest CNN-USA Today poll), most Greeks are decidedly against it. The poll published in Greek newspapers on May 26 confirmed the overwhelming opposition of Greeks - 99.5 per cent - to the NATO action in Yugoslavia, which began on March 24th. And the majority of people in this NATO country feel that the American president should be prosecuted for war crimes. The survey showed 70 percent of Greeks want Clinton tried, and 35 per cent want the British prime minister, Tony Blair, also charged over NATO's campaign of air strikes against Yugoslavia. By contrast, just 14 percent want President Slobodan Milosevic tried, according to a poll carried out by the ICAP Institute, which questioned a representative sample of 1,000 Greeks between April 29 and May 5. Around 13 percent also want to see the NATO commander, Gen. Wesley Clark, tried for war crimes, and 9.6 percent the NATO Secretary General, Javier Solana. --- TiM Ed.: Hm...
