John Gotti, Fed Victim, R.I.P.

It is somewhat uncomfortable to find something sympathetic about a Mafia
capo, in this case the Gambino crime family godfather John Gotti, who
died June 10 at the Federal Prison Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
But Gotti's crime syndicate cannot compare with that of the US
government. The contrast is inherently absurd, analogous to a
schoolboy's mischief alongside the blood of obliterators of nations.
Gotti, born Oct. 27,1940 in the Bronx to an Italian immigrant laborer,
grew up in Brooklyn, the fifth of 13 children. He earns sympathy as a
victim of the Feds on a number of counts. His 1992 conviction was
obtained by illegal means, including the refusal of the right of the
counsel of his choice, the masterful defense attorney Bruce Cutler who
won acquittal for Mr. Gotti in a 1986 RICO trial. The government
unconstitutionally barred Cutler from representing Gotti in the 1990s
case thanks to a Zionist judge. The Feds engineered perjured testimony
in that trial from their prize rat, Sammy "the Bull" Gravano, a multiple
murderer who served a few years in a country club jail and then gained
millions from a book and movie deal about Gotti.
>From his sentencing in 1992 up until just a short time before his death
this week, Gotti was incarcerated for virtually the entire period in
solitary confinement, in a tiny, dark cell in violation of the
Constitution's provisions against cruel and unusual punishment. Though
desperately sick with head and neck cancer since 1998, the Federal
government repeatedly refused to transfer him from the Marion, Illinois
super-max penitentiary to the Federal prison hospital in Springfield.
This inhuman refusal added to Gotti's agony.
Gotti was despised by the Federal wretches in part because his old style
Italian syndicate stood in the path of the burgeoning "Russian" Mafia,
which had gained a beachhead in Brooklyn. Gotti, despite his violence
and ferocity, retained a spark of western culture. He was not completely
alien to the Old World values. He was that paradox-- a bad man who
harbored a spark of chivalry--who protected his neighborhood and was
gallant toward his family and friends. None of this excuses the turf
wars he engaged in, the corruption he seeded through the NY unions or
the killings he perpetrated against rival mobsters.
But the US government used criminal means to snare a criminal in order
to open the door to more vicious criminals more to its liking,
Zionists from Russia without a shred of commonality with our culture or
heritage, without a drop of mercy, who are today the undercover
enforcers of the emerging "United States of 'Israel."
The US government established a precedent in the Gotti case and that is
our chief concern here. They denied a defendant counsel and bail and
then tortured him for nearly ten years while in their custody. Having
done this to Gotti and having this horror against a U.S. Citizen upheld
by the courts and applauded by the media, the Federal Pandora's Box
swings open to the rest of us.
For ten years Gotti endured his Federal tormentors like a soldier; never
betraying his friends, never whining or begging. Somehow I can't see
Rumsfeld, Ashcroft or Bush-league Bush displaying anything like Gotti's
toughness, manhood and loyalty. Since they are for sale to the highest
bidder, how could they ever comprehend someone who wasn't?
John Joseph Gotti is survived by his wife, the former Victoria DiGorgio,
four children and eleven grandchildren. Requiescat in pace.
