The man who obtained the footage, allegedly shot on the night Diana died, spoke with Editor Charles MacLaurin late last week: "I have a digital imaging process which enables me to image video-to-photo at unprecedented resolutions. "Although I had this technology years ago, I recently developed it to such a degree that I can retrieve what was previously impossible in my estimation - by anyone else on the planet. "A few months after Di's death, [I received] a video tape which shows [two vehicles] quickly leaving the hotel in Paris." The hi-tech talent, who we call "Dominic," re-imaged the shock footage, and captured crucial information about the drivers and their license plates. "Despite the resulting loss in quality, I can determine that there are two autos involved - one a white Fiat (perhaps another make such as Opel) and the other a golden/silver sport utility vehicle (a type which resembles a Honda CRV). Both vehicles left in pursuit, with the white car [in front]. "The license plate of the sport utility is quite evident upon magnification. [And] there is a tremendous amount of detail on the white car and the driver which I can pick out using traditional Photoshop techniques. "Both vehicles are initially parked, one in front of the other. The white car has four doors, and a unique sticker on the back window. The driver appears to be extremely slight in build, and looks to be holding a rather large cellular phone/2-way radio." With new proof of a Diana conspiracy in hand, Dominic called the Mirror newspaper in London, one of Britain's top tabloids: "The news reporter did not want to have anything to do with my call. He would not give me his name, and he said the investigation was over. Given the magnitude of this information, I was astonished that he seemed generally afraid..." But when Nitro News spoke with Mirror Editor Piers Morgan yesterday, it was a different story: "No, we are still very interested in anything to do with the Diana accident. I don't believe anyone on the Mirror would reject any new insight or material to do with the crash, and nor would I wish them to do so." After he failed to interest the "big boys", we asked Dominic to provide a photograph of one of the mystery vehicles for publication in Nitro News. In return, he requested "anonymity," which we have honored by not publishing his name, location or where he got the tape. But this weekend, our e-mails to him, which indicated we would be publishing this story and would appreciate photographic evidence, bounced back. Theorizing that the Ritz tape was shot 200 feet away from the two cars in poor light, we asked a CNN production employee if technology exists to magnify drivers and license plates under those conditions. He said the news channel does use "Grass Vally 1000" equipment, but that the end result is always too unclear and "pixely." He joked: "We're not the CIA, contrary to popular belief." Until he releases the photographs, it's unknown whether Dominic has developed technology beyond the capabilities of CNN.
