`Offensive' words are history, says British college

A British college has banned the use of more than 40 "offensive" words and
phrases including "normal couple" and "slaving over a hot stove" under equal
opportunities rules that staff and students
I think this is an excellent idea. We used to have a booklet on good
speak, bad speak and no speak (ie "Totem and Taboo in North Bongo
Bongo") issued under Multiculturalism Minister Jerry Wiener. Long, long
ago (when Barney Frank was just a little Fairy and Jerry was just a little
Wiener)
