The HIV virus attaches itself to CD4 LYMPHOCYTES. Certain
persons of Northern European descent have a protein receptor
site ( where the HIV attaches itself ) which is TURNED OFF
to the HIV VIRUS.
If both sets of MITOCHONDRIAL DNA ( from the Mother & the Father )
are VIRUS NEGATIVE at this gene point , then that person is
TOTALLY IMMUNE to HIV. You could inject that person with live
HIV virus and that person would NEVER come down with AIDS.
It's called the CCR5 GENE SITE. If you want to learn more. I
