NOAA has just sent out their warning of very likely major blackout, power outages, and possible satellite damage. Expect an increase in warning alerts from this point on, more than likely through the summer. Hold on to your hard hats and Let The Show Begin. (as if we could stop it). It is believed by many, that HAARP was actually developed to "help" us, not attack us our kill us off like so many conspirators would have you believe. Of course this is pure speculation. But there are several good points that would indeed suggest HAARP could lesson the impact of solar activity on our Earth. (less not to forget the mention of our bodies). More on this later. Space Weather Advisories...02/09/00 NOAA Summary For January 31-February 6 A category R3 (strong) radio blackout occurred on Feb. 5 at 12:24 p.m. MST (2000 February 05 1928 UT) due to a large solar flare. A radio blackout of this magnitude typically causes a wide-area blackout of radio communications on the sunlit side of Earth resulting in loss of radio contact for mariners and en route aviators for about an hour. Intermittent category G1 (minor) geomagnetic storm conditions occurred on Feb. 6. Category G1 storms usually result in minor impacts on power grids and satellite operations as well as increased aurora activity at high latitudes. Outlook For February 9-15 There will be a good chance for isolated category R1 radio blackouts which would result in occasional loss of HF radio contact for mariners and en route aviators on the sunlit side of Earth. Category R1 blackouts will also degrade low-frequency navigation signals for brief intervals affecting maritime and general aviation positioning on the sunlit side of Earth.
