-Caveat Lector-

Hi Jean,

The interview with Antony Sutton which you forwarded is an interesting one,
which I read a few days ago.
I know the interviewer, Kris, from an email list I've been on for a year or
so.
Antony Sutton is a great source of information- I'm planning to buy a few of
his books on political stuff; he also writes about alternative energy, seems
especially interested in cold fusion.
David Gould seems to be a bit on the proselytic side of Christiandom for my
personal "comfort."

Your information from Nancy regarding the Windows 4 digit date is CORRECT.

However- the "NSAkey" crypto information at:
http://www.cryptonym.com/hottopics/msft-nsa.html
is apparently QUITE TRUE, and many high-level security programmers/analysts
are working on this issue. It has been widely reported in online technical
circles and news sources.
Microsoft denies any truth in the matter, but fails to provide convincing
explanation- they claim it's a "backup key" -which crypto experts agree is a
"feeble" excuse.

NSA's comment:
"US export control regulations require that cryptographic [application
program interfaces] be signed," NSA's public affairs office wrote.
"The implementation of this requirement is left up to the company. Specific
questions about specific products should be addressed to the company."

My personal investigation on the "NSAkey" crypto key leads me to believe it
is exactly what it says it is: NSAkey.
Denials in print conform to establishment disinformation protocols such as
denouncing the investigators as "conspiracy kooks," etc., but provide no
plausible explanation outside of the obvious:
NSA is obsessed with accessing the world's communications.
http://www.wired.com/news/news/technology/story/21589.html?wnpg=2

We already have proof that they've been "eavesdropping" on PRIVATE
communications through Project Echelon for over 10 YEARS. This information
was first made public in CAQ (Covert Action Quarterly) in 1996:
http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/t362aa4881def.htm
and is currently of interest to the U.S. Congress in terms of eliminating
NSA's spying on U.S. citizen's telephone and internet traffic:
http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a37582c5120d3.htm

It should here be noted that the Internet was created by the U.S DoD
(Department of Defence; the MILITARY) and it should be assumed that EVERY
BIT of Internet traffic is readily available to U.S. government interception
via Project Echelon.
(Please read this paragraph once more)

We also know that Microsoft provides their software to the U.S. government
on CD's which need no installation key (for ease of unlimited
installations).

We also know that the U.S. Department of Justice appears to have abruptly
lost interest in anti-trust proceedings against Microsoft- which has an
undeniable history of crushing it's competition to reach it's current
undeniable MONOPOLY.

It would appear that Microsoft may have bought it's secure monopoly status?

Unless we are to be pacified by the mouthings of Microsoft and the visible
portion of the U.S. government's covert "intelligence gathering" agency, we
must assume that the most likely scenario is the TRUE one; and that a lame
excuse of a "secret backup key" is a lame excuse.

Looking this Trojan "gift horse" in the mouth allows us the chance to
possibly "pull the teeth" of this plan- to investigate carefully this rare
OPPORTUNITY to gain control of the encryption "backdoor" built into
Microsoft's operating systems ('95 osr2, all '98, all NT4 & NT5) by
inserting the encryption key of OUR OWN choice in place of the "NSAkey."

Programmers are hard at work on it- if you're a programmer who'd like to get
involved, see the cryptonym site.

best wishes,

Dave Hartley

This man should need no introduction; you would do well to read every
book he has written and start with The Best Enemy Money Can Buy. This
is where he shows that Russia could never have existed without money
from the United States.

THEN I ASK THIS TO NANCY...

Thanks Nancy for letting me know, albeit belatedly. I'll pass this on to
the list in a coming series of feedbacks. Can you please check with
Melanie is this other one below is also a hoax -- to her knowledge...

Subject: A-M$: The Microsoft NSA Back Door.

http://www.cryptonym.com/hottopics/msft-nsa.html

It turns out that every copy of Windows 95, 98, NT 4, and Windows 2000
has a back door that makes it easy for the National Security Agency to
gain access to your computer. The first two paragraphs of the press
release follow. Full details are available via the URL posted above,
as well as a sample program you can use to replace the NSA back door.

Research Triangle Park, NC - 31 August 1999 - Between Hotmail
hacks and browser bugs, Microsoft has a dismal track record in
computer security. Most of us accept these minor security flaws
and go on with life. But how is an IT manager to feel when they
learn that in every copy of Windows sold, Microsoft has installed
a 'back door' for the National Security Agency (NSA - the USA's
spy agency) making it orders of magnitude easier for the US
    government to access their computers?

While investigating the security subsystems of WindowsNT4,
Cryptonym's Chief Scientist Andrew Fernandes discovered exactly
that - a back door for the NSA in every copy of Win95/98/NT4 and
Windows2000. Building on the work of Nicko van Someren (NCipher),
and Adi Shamir (the 'S' in 'RSA'), Andrew was investigating
Microsoft's "CryptoAPI" architecture for security flaws. Since the
CryptoAPI is the fundamental building block of cryptographic
security in Windows, any flaw in it would open Windows to
    electronic attack.
