You have said Canada should put 10,000 windmills across the country. Macphail and Kwan on VOBC talked about NDP policy on "closed-containment" fish farming or "inland fish farming" which is a huge industry in China and even in America. William McDonough, former Dean of Architecture at U Virginia believes we can build affordable pollution-free cities now. You might wish to talk to former BC MLA David Mitchell at U Ottawa on "municipal corporations" in which the citizens are explicitly given shares or stock in the corporation. Could they not be put on the stock exchanges of the world? Why not string these future cities across Canada as a new "northern corridor" of population along with the wind-mills and other economic factors which will still sustain a pollution-free economy for the cities? The population of Canada increases by 300,000/year so why not also plan one "Winter City" of 300,000/year for 10 years and add 3,000,000 to the northern population? You could start with the nucleus of a small town or build totally anew but in either case, the expansion would have to meet the most rigorous of criteria: little or no pollution, traffic congestion and traffic fatalities nil or almost nil, zero homelessness, only marginal unemployment etc. Zandu Goldbar $$$$$$$$$$$$$ POC Financier ***** <http://www.geocities.com/universalhumanrightscanada> ****** What would SFU's "UniverCity" be like if it were designed to be "shining city on a hill" and a light to all nations? <http://www.UniverCity.ca> Yahoo!
