Recently, patches were applied to the netbsd-7 branch to build the DRMKMS
kernel as part of the regular i386/amd64 release build and offer it as
an option in 'sysinst'.

The resulting kernel weighs in at 100+MB rather than ~18

Had to be the post on blog.netbsd.org, but that problem had been solved
by then.

I got one, but was waiting for you to commit support for the interrupt
controller ;-)
Not that I would hav
OK, it must have been some weird interference caused by an update build
and the existing ${OBJDIR}/.../compile/DRMKMS directory from before
the patch.
Removing the kernel build directory and repeating the build produced
reasonable results.

Hi All,
So, I have been working on the Compressed Cache project for NetBSD
(https://wiki.netbsd.org/projects/project/compressed-cache/). I have a
few things working. Anyone interested can look for it in the git repo

Hi.
A story about SSD longevity
(http://techreport.com/review/27062/the-ssd-endurance-experiment-only-two-remain-after-1-5pb)
crossed my desk and that made me wonder: what's the state of NetBSD
and SSD ? Are there limitations, or special considerations I ought to
be aware of ? If I got a "Samsung

I have been using a 120GB Kingston HyperX SSD for a couple of months
now and it seems to have been working well. However, a few days ago I
started seeing the following kernel messages:
