I did a couple of reboots and the problem seems to be gone.

i have those hang's too. For me current, 8, 7.1.1 is affected, 7.0.2
doesn't hang. I could break into the debugger and reboot.
The hangs appear even when the laptop is idle mostly after a couple of
minutes, sometimes it take longer up to a couple of hours.
