says this is backwards compatible but stuff still breaks (some of it
is not their fault - for example, build.xml that errors if ant version
doesn't start with 1.6 or 1.7). I just sent a couple PRs but didn't
try to find everything.

This will allow ccache to still be used for the lib32 bits - if I am
reading correctly, your directions revert to regular gcc for this
stage.
(I didn't come up with this - it was discussed on questions@ a few months back).

This breaks math/scilab (which is the only dependency in the ports
tree). Unfortunately, the author of jgraphx seems
their tree a bit and added/removed some files, so it
didn't go well.
IMHO, we need to either create a separate jgraphx-scilab port or keep
this in sync with Scilab (this is what Debian, Ubuntu, and Gentoo are
doing).

Bump PORTREVISION for ports that depend on libogg, directly or indirectly

I do not think this list is complete. Upon trying to login to gnome,
my taskbar and menu bar
an .if defined(PACKAGE_BUILDING) or
something? It seems a little extreme (a lot of stuff has a jdk
dependency) and I just built this yesterday on amd64 current with no
issues.
